NTC Moldes e Plásticos

NTC has prepared Social Responsibility Accounts since 2005. They describe the results of the actions developed in this area by the company.

The set of environmental and community actions carried out by NTC earned it a Social Merit Certification awarded at the end of 2006 by the Rio Grande do Sul Legislative Assembly, which is part of the Social Responsibility Award promoted every year by the State's Legislative Power.

An internal Energy Management Council studies and proposes solutions for how to use less energy throughout NTC's entire production cycle. One of the actions implemented is the project that collects and reuses the rain water for cooling the machines on the production line. This procedure has already made it possible for NTC so save around 300,000 liters of water per year.

Today 95% of the solid waste from NTC's production is reused in partnership with the local community in recycling sheds. The operation generates new raw materials with greater profitability for the co-ops involved.

The Zero Flunking project provides a cash bonus and discounts for purchasing school materials for the employees and their children who pass during their elementary education school years.

NTC has agreements with various teaching institutions for sending students for internships in the company.

NTC follows the law that determines that 5% of the total employees contracted should be people with some form of physical disability. For this reason it has an agreement with APAE and other institutions.

NTC promotes internal campaigns, such as during Christmas, that receives and distributes clothing, toys, and food to entities that help needy communities. Furthermore, it encourages its employees to participate in similar actions as well as volunteer activities.

A Code of Ethics elaborated internally at NTC guides the relations between company, customers, employees, suppliers, partners, and the community.
